Veteran BJP leader Uma Bharti, staunch of the Ram temple movement, tweeted today that she would travel to Ayodhya but would avoid Wednesday's groundbreaking event as a precautionary measure against the coronavirus. She said she would visit the temple site only after the event had ended.
In several tweets this morning, Uma Bharti said she was concerned about those attending the grand function after Interior Minister Amit Shah and other top leaders hired COVID-19. The Interior Minister tweeted yesterday that he had tested positive for the virus and was reportedly admitted to the Medanta Hospital near Delhi.
"When I heard that Amit Shah and other BJP leaders tested positive, I was concerned about those attending the Ayodhya event, especially Prime Minister Modi," the 61-year-old BJP leader tweeted.
