A deputy inspector from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) shot another CRPF inspector with his service weapon before killing himself in the chic Lodhi Estate area of Delhi on Friday night, police said.
The incident took place around 10:30 PM at 61, Lodhi Estate, a bungalow assigned to the Interior Ministry (MHA), they said.
When the police team arrived at the scene, they found two CRPF jawans lying on the ground. Both officers had gunshot wounds and were dead when the police team arrived at the scene, they said.
The preliminary investigation revealed that there was a fight between the two Jawans, which escalated and led Deputy Inspector Karnail Singh to open fire on his colleague Dashrat Singh. The Deputy Inspector came from Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir, while the Inspector was from Rohtak in Haryana.
