Vote Against Congress In Rajasthan Assembly: Mayawati's Party To 6 MLAs

NEWS

The Bahujan Samaj party has flogged its six MLAs in Rajasthan to vote against Congress if a floor test is conducted to verify the strength of the Ashok Gehlot government. Gehlot has been fighting to keep his government afloat after a rebellion by Sachin Pilot and loyal MLAs.
All six MLAs of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) had merged with Congress, which could lead to a tangle of technicalities since, by this definition, there are no MLA BSPs in the Rajasthan assembly.

The party led by former Uttar Pradesh Prime Minister Mayawati had approached the Electoral Commission to consider these six MLAs as MLA BSPs during the Rajya Sabha polls, but the Electoral Commission had refused to intervene in that since it is the domain of the President.

On Sunday night, the BSP issued the whip to R Gudha, Lakhan Singh, Deep Chand, JS Awana, Sandeep Kumar and Wajib Ali.
