In view of the current COVID-19 scenario, all passengers arriving on international flights to Delhi airport will have to undergo seven days of institutional quarantine at their own expense, followed by one week of home quarantine.
According to the latest guidelines issued by the airport authority, all international passengers must sign a commitment that they accept this obligation (of institutional quarantine paid for seven days), which will be retained by the mission / embassy abroad before the confirmation of the reservation.
In addition, international passengers planning to stay in the Delhi-NCR region will be required to undergo a mandatory health examination that includes a primary examination by airport health officials, followed by a secondary examination at the Delhi government post, after from which they will be allowed to proceed to the approved quarantine location.
The authority said that only pregnant women, those who suffered death in the family, those suffering from a serious illness and parents traveling with children under the age of 10 will receive an exception for which they must send a commitment form, along with the documents requirements, to airportcovid@gmail.com.
Meanwhile, all domestic passengers must undergo mandatory thermal screening near the departure gates and only those who are asymptomatic will be able to leave the airport facilities. In addition, they must remain in quarantine for 7 days.
