The minister also said that air passengers arriving in Goa should be asked to carry a "negative COVID-19 certificate."
The state, which saw a new wave of coronavirus cases this month, is preparing for the resumption of national air traffic starting May 25 with 15 flights scheduled to reach Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Mysore and other places. .
"In the interest of our state, I requested @ICMRDELHI and the Ministry of Civil Aviation to allow us to perform antibody tests on passengers and passengers who will be issued a negative COVID certificate to enter the state through domestic flights" he tweeted.
"Such tests will help us identify asymptomatic patients ... to avoid community transmission," he added.
"It is very important to ensure that passengers entering Goa by air are required to carry a negative COVID-19 certificate," the minister said in a later statement.
Each state government has been allowed to draft its own Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to deal with passengers arriving from outside, he said.
"I have discussed and discussed this with the Chief Minister to ensure the safety of the people of Goa. We will also rely on a COVID-19 negative certificate from a recognized laboratory for persons boarding the flight from their respective state," she added. said the minister.
