This morning, three terrorists were killed in an antiterrorist operation in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was held in the Amshipora village of the Shopian district.
The security forces carried out the operation before dawn today in the village of Amshipora after receiving specific comments about the presence of terrorists in the area. The search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists opened fire on the forces.
The shooting took place less than 24 hours after a similar operation in Kulgam in which three terrorists, including a top Jaish-e-Mohammad commander, were shot dead.
Commander Jaish killed in Kulgam was known to be an IED expert. It was responsible for a large number of attacks on the security forces, including an IED attack, in the recent past, they added.
"The murdered terrorists are from Jaish e Mohammed and reportedly include a high-ranking terrorist commander known to be an IED expert who received direct instructions from his Pakistani handlers and was responsible for a large number of attacks, including many attempts of FDI against the security forces in the recent past. " He was reportedly able to escape 3/4 encounters, leaving behind a US MO 4 rifle in one case, "police said in a statement.
