Nursing Homes In Delhi Having 10 To 49 Beds Declared As COVID Facilities
On Saturday, the Delhi government declared small and medium specialty nursing homes with 10 to 49 beds as "COVID nursing homes" to increase the capacity of beds for patients with coronavirus, according to an official order.
Only independent exclusive eye care centers, otolaryngology centers, dialysis centers, maternity homes and IVF centers are currently exempt, according to the order.
"In order to avoid mixing of COVID and non-COVID patients in small and medium specialty nursing homes (10-49 beds) and also to increase bed capacity for COVID-19 patients, all households of elderly in Delhi NCT have strength in bed of 10 beds or more, up to 49 beds are declared as COVID nursing homes, "he said.
All of these nursing homes (10 to 49 beds) are required to make their COVID beds work within three days of the issuance of the order, which would be treated as a violation of Clause 14.1 of the program attached to the Delhi Nursing Rule 14. House Registration (Amendment) Rules, 2011, he said.
