Joe Biden expressed fear that President Donald Trump would try to "steal" the November election or not step down if he loses, prompting the White House on Thursday to criticize the Democrat's comments as conspiracy theories.

"My biggest concern" is that "this president will try to steal these elections," Biden said.

His comments on The Daily Show, which aired on Wednesday night, came during a discussion on voter suppression, a hot topic this week after chaotic elections in some states, including Georgia, where plagued voting machines of trouble and long lines frustrated voters.

"This is a guy who said that all mail ballots are fraudulent," the 77-year-old former vice president said of Trump.
