AirAsia Ferries 180 Assam Migrants From Mumbai, With Help From Sonu Sood

About 180 migrant workers were transferred to their home in Silchar in Assam from Mumbai on Tuesday on a chartered flight operated by AirAsia India with the support of actor Sonu Sood, the low-cost airline said.

Anup Manjeshwar, head of sales and distribution for AirAsia India, said it was a pleasure working with Sonu Sood on this initiative, which inspired many others to support these efforts.

"This is our twelfth flight under the 'Umeed Ki Udaan' banner, which carries 180 migrant guests from Mumbai to Silchar, Assam," he added.
