Raebareli Aditi Singh's rebel MLA Congress lashed out at its own party on Wednesday for playing "cheap politics" on the Priyanka Gandhi issue by organizing 1,000 buses to transport stranded migrant workers home in the midst of the national shutdown.
"When the Uttar Pradesh government examined the list of buses provided by Congress, it turned out that many vehicles are two-wheelers and three-wheelers. Congress is wasting time for government officials by providing a false list and creating political pressure, "Ms. Singh told the media.
In a series of tweets in Hindi, Ms. Singh said that most of the buses organized by Congress for migrants were small vehicles.
Calling it a "cruel joke", he praised Uttar Pradesh Prime Minister Adityanath Yogi for rescuing state students who were trapped in Kota in Rajasthan.
"What is the need for this cheap policy during the time of such a crisis? I sent a list of 1,000 buses, but there is fraud in more than half of the buses. 297 buses are garbage, 98 of them are auto rickshaws and ambulances vehicles, 68 vehicles are paperless.
What cruel joke is that? If you have buses, why didn't you send them to Rajasthan, Punjab and Maharashtra? "she questioned her own party.
